How It Started
Lens Up North was founded through a genuine love for visual storytelling. My journey began five years ago when I took my first steps into the world of Photography and Fine Art. These early studies didn’t just teach me how to handle a camera — they shaped how I see light, movement, composition, and emotion through a creative lens.
Keen to expand my skills, I pursued A-levels in Photography, Media Studies, and Graphic Design. This combination gave me a well-rounded understanding of both creative and commercial media — from visual aesthetics and branding to narrative building and digital production. During this time, I began working on small projects across South Yorkshire, developing a portfolio and refining my style through real-world experience.
Currently, I am studying Film and Television Production at the University of York, one of the UK’s top institutions for the creative arts. University life continues to push my abilities, exposing me to advanced industry techniques, collaboration with other creatives, and the technical standards required in professional media environments.
What started as a creative passion has evolved into Lens Up North — a growing photography and videography business grounded in artistic integrity, strong storytelling, and a professional service model that meets the needs of today’s clients.
